Entropy Index today announced it is the first risk intelligence firm to offer a sealed physics instrument on x402 — 1001 named faces on one V5-locked handler, live Aug. 16, 2026. This is not a swarm of autonomous agents. It is not a trade signal. Autonomous risk check before the transaction.
What we claim (as of August 2026)
- First risk intelligence firm on x402. Institutional shops (Bloomberg-class, Verisk-class, Eurasia-class) are not on this rail. Seats and retainers only.
- First sealed physics instrument commercially offered on x402. Country stickers are. Payment-guardrail SKUs are. A V5-locked regime instrument with published physics hash, Watch/Act clocks, and sealed 2008 proof — sold per call on HTTP 402 — is not.
- Class above the sticker. 1001 named faces, one handler, one freeze. As of the August 2026 mall snapshot, that combination did not exist.
We will not say we invented risk on x402. We will not say we are the only risk-shaped listing. We will say we shipped the instrument the rail was missing.

What 1,000 means
Every slug hits the same gate. Live-scored faces return the entity reading. Listing-proxy faces disclose that they still ride the global system until that entity is scored — we do not fake precision to inflate a count.
Ready to register is the mall bar. Live is the honest score. We do not confuse the two.
Why it matters
Agents already quote, size, and send. The missing step was a risk readout they can pay for at request time — not a geo label, a sealed instrument. A thousand doors only matter if they share one freeze. They do: the V5-locked physics behind the lock note.

x402 is still mostly plumbing. As of an August 2026 snapshot (Coinbase CDP Bazaar discovery (July 2026), x402-list.com, internal mall comps): on the order of 25,000 facilitator resources, about 15,400 honest listings, and closer to 1,300 with meaningful repeat demand. Paid fees on the largest facilitator were about $7,300 in 30 days. Search and scrape still dwarf everything else.

Listings tagged attested were about 169. Demand for a receipt you can cite is ahead of supply. We ship pre-settlement attestation — verify before pay — without claiming we are the only attested seller.
Why the engine fits this rail
Power users on x402 are agents in a loop with a wallet budget. They poll cheap. They pay more when a capital move is about to happen.
Check is the poll — is anything hot? The Call is the gate — can I size? That is a $5 question, not a $0.07 one. The Book adds the derivatives book when the leg needs it.
